Tributes are flowing in for a Donegal man who was murdered after being knifed through the heart in north London on Saturday afternoon.
Mr Damien McLaughlin, 42, who is originally from Manorcunningham, was stabbed to death in the street in broad daylight on Saturday.
Police, ambulances and London’s air ambulance were called to the scene on Exeter Road in Enfield at just after 1.30pm.
Paramedics fought to save Mr McLaughlin’s life for over 45 minutes but he was pronounced dead at the scene at just after 2.15pm.
Witnesses told the London Evening Standard the attackers were wearing ski masks as they chased Mr McLaughlin.
Two men and a teenage boy have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
DCI Larry Smith said: “Mr McLaughlin was murdered in the street on Saturday afternoon.
“We have spoken with a number of witnesses, but I am certain that there are other people who will have seen something of note but are yet to contact police.
“I am also aware that people may have recorded footage on mobile phones.
“I am urging any witnesses, or anyone with material that may assist the investigation, to make contact with police.”
Mr McLaughlin’s next of kin were told of his death.
A post-mortem examination was held at Haringey Mortuary on Sunday, April 23 and his cause of death was established as a stab wound to the heart.

Police said an 18-year-old man was found by officers near to the murder scene in Alma Road at around 13.50pm on Saturday.
He had suffered a stab injury, and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service, where he was arrested on suspicion of murder.
He was was discharged from hospital on Monday and taken to an east London police station.
Another male, aged 17, was also found in Alma Road. He was uninjured and arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a north London police station where he remains in custody.
The third person who was arrested, a man aged 21, has been released from police custody.
Mr McLaughlin was one of three people killed on London’s streets over the weekend.
