The first signs of spring sunshine we had last week in Donegal will be a distant memory as rain and freezing temperatures set in today.
The latest report from Met Eireann shows that heavy showers are on the way for Donegal this Monday. Those showers will turn wintry in places tonight as sleet and snow hit on higher ground.
The cold weather looks set to continue throughout the start of this week until temperatures improve on Thursday.
