Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan was offering no excuses and declared that his side simply ‘weren’t good enough’ as they fell to a 2-0 loss to Drogheda United.
“We didn’t do enough and they fully deserved the win,” Horgan said after a disappointing night.
Harps had plenty of opportunities at a goal down, but couldn’t convert and Brennan’s goal put the icing on the cake.
Horgan said: “They out-battled us, to their credit. For all the chances we had, I don’t think Stephen McGuinness had a save to make.
“They fully deserved their victory. They took their chances and we didn’t. We’ll put our hands up and say that we weren’t good enough.”
