Bundoran Hotelier and Donegal County Councillor Sean McEniff has died this afternoon, it has been confirmed.
The 81-year-old, a Fianna Fail County Councillor, passed away at around 4 o’clock this afternoon.
He was Ireland’s longest-serving county councillor having been first elected in 1967.
Mr McEniff had been unwell for a number of months.
He is a former Director of Bord Failte and was the Donegal Person of the Year in 1996.
