Letterkenny funny man Andy McGranaghan will once again be teaming up with Irish comedy legend Jimmy Cricket!
The side-splitting duo will perform a gig at An Grianán Theatre in two weeks.
The pair previously collaborated before Christmas in the Balor Arts Centre, Ballybofey.
Andy has been involved for many years in the local amateur drama scene and in more recent times the local Comedy Circuit appearing regularly at comedy at the vintage room Letterkenny.
Speaking to Donegal Daily, Andy explained that he is closing the first half with a twenty minute performance, and has been busy writing new material.
“I’m looking forward to it with some trepidation and excitement. Preparing for the gig I am trying to write some new material with a bit of a local flavour, trying to take some events and happenings around the town and country and get a funny angle on them.
“Hopefully performing at an Grianan will also prove to be a big inspiration – it being probably the best venue in the North West.”
“I have also been preparing by doing gigs in Derry, Belfast, Galway, Letterkenny, Ballybofey and Stranorlar.”
Andy also gave Donegal Daily a sneak peak at a few one-liners he has up his sleeve for the night
“I have just developed a dating app for couples who like chocolate it’s called Kinder.”
“My optician recently went online… now that’s a site for sore eyes.”
“Moses was recently voted the most popular prophet of all time… well that’s according to a Red C Poll.”
Northern Irish comedian Jimmy Cricket is known for his ubiquitous letters from his “mammy”, prods fun at Irish logic, and wears shoes with L and R for left and right on them; but wears them on the wrong feet!
To keep up with Andy’s comedic escapades you can find him on his website, Facebook, or Twitter! He also has videos of his gigs on Youtube.
