Naomh Columba’s Aaron Doherty was on fire, scoring 2-5, as Donegal’s minors overcame Down to reach the Ulster Minor League Shield final.
Donegal 2-12 Down 2-9
Donegal were well in command as a Doherty goal had Sean Paul Barrett’s team 1-6 to 0-3 ahead at half-time.
Liam Kerr, from a penalty, and Shane Annett, netted goals as Down came back into it, but Donegal always seemed comfortable and in control.
Donegal will face Armagh in next weekend’s final.
