Police have issued an image of a man they want to trace after the death of a young Donegal man in Manchester.
Dylan Crawford, aged 20, from Dromore, Killygordon, was found collapsed in the early hours of Wednesday.
Two men are in custody on suspicion of theft and supplying prohibited drugs.
Now the Greater Manchester Police are trying to identify a third person in connection with an investigation into Dylan’s death.
A Home Office post mortem carried out two days ago failed to establish a cause of death for Dylan and detectives are awaiting the results of toxicology tests.
Shortly before 1.40am on Wednesday it was reported to police by staff at Manchester Royal Infirmary that Mr Crawford had been found unconscious on Spear Street that morning, and sadly died.
Police are now appealing for the public’s help to trace the man pictured in the CCTV image in connection with the investigation.
Detective Insp Rebecca Boyce of GMP’s City of Manchester team said: “Our investigation into Dylan’s death continues and we have now released an image of a man we want to speak to. If you recognise him or the clothes he is wearing, please get in touch.
“We are still keen to speak to anyone who was around the Spear Street, Back Piccadilly Street and Oldham Street area between 11.30pm on Tuesday and 12.30am on Wednesday to come forward.
“Even at this time of night the area would be fairly busy so it is possible that somebody may have seen something. No piece of information is too small, and it may be vital to our investigation.”
Anybody with information should contact police on 0161 856 4409, quoting incident number 150 of 12/04/17, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
The people of small Donegal village Killygordon are in shock after the tragic death.
Donegal County councillor Patrick McGowan said: “Dylan was a modest, civil young man.
“He was a nice fella, not someone who had ever been in trouble.
“The whole community is very shocked.
“We are not sure why Dylan was in Manchester, but we think he may have just been travelling.
“I understand he had only been in Manchester a short time.”
