Donegal Under-21s won the county’s ninth Ulster Under-21 crown last night with an impressive 13-point win over Derry.
Declan Bonner’s men scored a 3-17 to 0-13 win over the Oak Leaf at the Athletic Grounds.
It was tit-for-tat until Lorcan Connor – following a blistering run by Jamie Brennan – scored the opening Donegal goal in the 29th minute.
It was the cue for Donegal to press home their advantage. Derry weren’t aided by a black card to ace forward Shane McGuigan and a red card for Oisin Duffy in the opening ten minutes of the second half.
Late goals by Ethan O’Donnell and Michael Carroll put the cherry on top for Donegal.
