The Mayor of Letterkenny, Cllr James Pat McDaid, has slammed illegal dumpers who disposed of a mattress close to Newmills.
The mattress was dumped at the side of the road at the weekend.
Cllr McDaid fumed “Look at the mentality of some people, a mattress just dumped along the road at New Mills disgraceful act. Whoever done this has no pride or respect for their county or countryside whatsoever.”
Cllr McDaid has been involved in many clean-ups in the local area and said he simply cannot understand why anybody would do this.
