Michael Murphy is named gaa.ie Footballer of the Week

Donegal captain Michael Murphy has been named as the gaa.ie Footballer of the Week after another stellar display against Monaghan.

In Sunday’s drawn game in Ballyshannon, Murphy landed seven points as Donegal moved a step closer to a place in the Allianz League final.

Agains deployed in the middle of the park, Murphy controlled the Donegal display with a fine performance – and he has been named as gaa.ie Footballer of the Week.

Glenswilly clubman Murphy earned 2514 votes on the GAA’s Official Twitter (@officialgaa), Facebook, and Instagram pages.

Paul Flynn (Dublin) – 2435 (41%)

Paul Cribbin (Kildare) – 919 (16%)
