On Sunday the 19th of March, the winners of the second annual Cogadh na gClann rowing competition presented a cheque to the Dungloe Hospital, the charity which they championed for the event.
The team or clan included Adrian, Sarah, Mark and Amy Ward on the oars with Phil Ward coxing. This team consisted in part of a father, grandfather and daughter combination.
The event jointly hosted by the two Rosses rowing clubs of Cumann Ramhíochta Tráighéanch and the Burtonport Rowing Club was held back in September in Burtonport Harbour.
Since the inaugural competition in 2015 won by the Solan clan to the benefit of the Donegal Hospice, the event has raised in excess of €600.
This year it is hoped will attract competitors from further afield than just Donegal.
