The Autism Support Centre in Letterkenny officially opened in Letterkenny yesterday.
Located on Convent road, the ribbon was cut by Jason Black.
Jason Black, who is the first ever Donegal person to climb Mount Everest said; “I’m honoured as a local to open the Letterkenny Autism Family Support Center.
“I spent an incredible energised few hours with incredibly focused caring people.
“Society has this box that they think we fit in – but I believe we should fit in your own box; each box is unique and personal to us.
“It’s so fitting on a sunny spring Mother’s day weekend that without mothers fighting for change and leading the way, standing up, stepping up, and speaking out that our community’s children today really stand a chance.
“Thank you for allowing me to cut the ribbon in a life changing environment in our community. I wish the new Center all the success in the world, allowing everyone to walk in their own shoes.”
