TV presenter Dáithí Ó Sé has given one Donegal teacher a quick lesson in show business ahead of the Illistrin Lip Sync Battle event.
Teacher Claire Molloy had a big surprise this weekend when she was sent a video message from Dáithí to wish her luck in the contest.
The Illistrin Lip Sync Battle show will take place on Friday at 8pm on March 24th in The Mount Errigal Hotel. The event will see members of the football club, teachers, past pupils and friends getting together to battle it out and perform their favourite songs. The winner will receive €100 towards their chosen charity and there will be spot prizes for the audience on the night as well as a special guest appearance by Donegal’s Fittest Family, the Ryans.
Dáithí wished Claire the best of luck as she prepares for her act as Honey Rose.
“Honey Rose, I hope you don’t disgrace yourself because you’d never be let into Glennamaddy ever again,” he warned.
Claire and Dáithí aren’t strangers, as Claire told Donegal Daily: “I sat beside Dáithí in Croke park at the All-Ireland final between Donegal v Kerry. He was such a nice guy so it was a big surprise to get this message just before we go on stage next Friday night.”
Tickets are still on sale, and are available from 2-3pm on Wednesday. Excitement is rising for the big event, so follow the Facebook page for updates and to find out how you can get a ticket – CLICK HERE.
