The Twin Towns streets were bright and colourful on St. Patrick’s Day 2017 despite the dull and damp weather.
The theme for 2017 was Peace and Harmony, and there was great display of these qualities in the huge community spirit on the day.
This was a parade with a difference, as groups walked along the street linking Stranorlar and Ballybofey without any cars or vehicles as part of their displays. Organisers encouraged participants to not use cars, lorries or motorised floats this year to keep up the peaceful atmosphere.
Sports clubs, community groups and businesses showed off some imaginative and humorous costumes, with a great mix of music and dancing to keep the crowds entertained.
