Lough Eske Castle, a Solís Hotel & Spa is pleased to announce they have been awarded The Quality Employer Awards under the Medium Hotels category at the Irish Hotels Federation annual conference 2017.
Opened 10 years ago in 2007, this year is an exciting year for the team at Lough Eske Castle with 10th anniversary celebrations taking place later in the year and receiving recent awards such as Ulster Spa of the Year by Irish Tatler and Ulster Venue of the Year by WeddingsOnline.ie.
Managed by Solis Hotels & Resorts, and owned by Harcourt Developments Lough Eske Castle is Donegal’s only 5 star hotel with over 170 staff employed at the castle, mainly from the local area.
This year is the 80th anniversary of the Irish Hotels Federation; the IHF conference took place at the Lyrath Hotel, Kilkenny from Sunday 26th – Tuesday 28th February 2017. The Quality Employers Awards 2017 celebrates standards of excellence in human resource management across Ireland’s hotels and guesthouse sector.
The awards, which were presented by Minister of State for Tourism & Sport, Patrick O’Donovan, recognise hotels and guesthouses that attract, empower and develop employees in line with the overall goals and objectives of the Quality Employer Programme.
Mrs Catherine Monahan, Director of Human Resources at Lough Eske Castle said they are absolutely delighted to receive this award and it makes it so much more special on their 10 year anniversary.
