A team of volunteers and committee members for the Sliabh a’ Liag Peninsula Language Planning area will commence a door to door survey shortly.
The group is aiming to establish the state of the Irish Language in the Gaeltachts of Glencolmcille, Kilcar and Ardara.
It is anticipated that this survey will commence on Monday March 6th and continue for a number of weeks. These volunteers will carry Identification Cards.
“The survey will not take up too much of your time and we would ask that you all take this opportunity to provide the required information which will help the revitalisation and development of the Irish in the area in the future,” said a spokesperson.
The questionnaires are bilingual and anonymous and the volunteer will provide any required assistance when filling in the information.
We would greatly appreciate your co-operation with this.
