Malin GAA Club have posted a touching tribute to the late John McLaughlin.

John was killed in last night’s tragic car crash on the outskirts of Malin Town.

The married father-of-two was a key member of Malin GAA club.

It is understood he was on his way to Under 16 training with the club when the tragedy occurred at Strand Head.
A Facebook posting by the club said “It is with total shock and sadness that our Club learned of the
tragic death of John.

“Our thoughts and prayers at this time are with Mags Johns wife, Niamh his daughter, Sean his son and Johns parents Noel and Rosaleen, his brothers and sisters and all Johns extended
family.”

Garda forensic officers are currently at the scene of the crash.

The man in the second car involved in the crash escaped without serious injury.
