New Parents Plus programme starting on Wednesday 1 st March @ Lifford N.S
Have you a child / children aged from 5 -12 years old?
Does it ever feel like World War 3 is breaking out in your home when it’s time to get homework started or when bedtime is mentioned?
Do you find it hard to get your child’s attention and end up getting becoming more frustrated?
Do you ever feel just at a loss as to what to do next (who hasn’t!)
Raphoe Family Resource Centre and Springboard Family Support Project are now taking names for a free Parents Plus 6 week programme.
The Parents Plus Children’s Programme offers Parents an opportunity to come together in a relaxed and friendly environment to share ideas and learn new techniques to help children be more co-operative and maintain boundaries, help them learn and reach their full potential.

Women’s Group
The Women’s Group meets on a fortnightly basis and it take place on Mondays from 8pm here in the Family Resource Centre. The group has been together for many years.
We chat; we help each other out, make crafts, have cooking demonstrations, plan activities for International Women’s Day and have many social outings throughout the year. If you would like to be a part of this group, please don’t hesitate to come along.

Raphoe Something Special Group
The group meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 8pm. If you are a parent/guardian of a child with delayed communication or learning skills or Autism Spectrum Disorder, you will find support, advice and information by attending this support group. Sinead Mc Gavigan School of Dance (Hip Pop, Street Rock n Roll and Freestyle)
Sinead Mc Gavigan School of Dance resumed on Tuesday 14 th February 2017 @ The Volt House, Raphoe . 4-7 year old from 6.45 -7.30pm €4 per class and 8-12 year olds from 7.45 – 8.45pm €5 per class.
Boxing Club Notes
On Saturday last the Raphoe Club entered eight boxers in the Donegal Open Championships held in the Carndonagh Club and Raphoe came away with six Donegal championships. Ballindrait hot-shot Liam Crawford turned in a vintage display of ring craft when he outpointed Sayed Alisinalizade, Letterkenny to win the 12-year- old title at 52kg.
There were wins by walk-over for Aaron McDaid, Eoin McGarrell, Liam McMonagle, Tom Doherty and Conor McGurk. Lifford’s rising star Danny Buchanan turned in a gutsy display only to lose out to Odhran McGinley, Dunfanaghy and Oran Devine lost out to Carndonagh’s Oisin Devlin. Well done to all of you boys.
On Sunday night next club boxers Danny Buchanan, Brendan O’Hagan, Tom Doherty and Oisin McHugh will all be in action at a major tournament in the Abbey Hotel, Donegal Town when the St. John Bosco ABC stage their annual boxing showpiece.
Raphoe Friday Club
The Friday Club meets every Friday morning in the Volt House Hall from 10.30am-12.30. We would like more in our community to come along and be a part of the Group.
There will be events organised over the summer so come along and join in the craic!
Refreshments are also provided. Transport is available on Friday mornings and if you require this please phone 0749145462 and arrange.
Raphoe Badminton Club
Raphoe Badminton Club’s Annual Badminton Tournament commences on Thursday 23 rd February in the Recreation Hall with usual events running. Finals will be played on Friday 10 th March.
