The Garda Air Support Unit has been deployed to aid in the search for missing Derryman Jack Glenn.
The 23-year-old has been missing since last Thursday, when he is believed to have entered the River Foyle.
Hundred of people have been involved in searches along the river since.
The Foyle Search and Rescue Team are leading the search efforts.
Jack was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, dark tracksuit bottoms and blue trainers when he entered the water at the Foyle Bridge.
As efforts to locate Jack intensify, the Garda helicopter has begun combing the area of the Foyle between Lifford and Carrigans.
A candle-lit rosary vigil was held at the Foyle Bridge earlier this week and organisers have pledged to hold prayers every night at 6pm until Mr Glenn’s body is recovered.
