Mr Gallagher’s 5th Class and Ms Mc Clafferty’s Senior Infant classes invited their grandparents to Scoil Naomh Fiachra Illistrin to help make some St Bridgets crosses.
The school were also celebrating Grandparents Day as part of Catholic schools week.
The pupils wanted to acknowledge the important role that their grandparents play in their lives. Grandparents as we know give unconditional love, they are a delightful blend of laughter, wonderful stories and caring deeds and they also give treats!
Fr Eamonn joined the group and thanked the grandparents for coming along and then blessed the crosses that they had made. Some tea and scones were enjoyed afterwards.
There were many staff and students involved across the school in keeping the St Brigids traditions alive in every class.
