A man from Donegal who died in a fatal accident at work in Galway has been named.
The man has been named by members of the fishing community as Terry Toland from Ramelton.
The accident occurred yesterday at Ros a Mhíl harbour in Connemara. Mr Toland, aged 42, was killed after he was struck on the head by a piece of equipment, Galway Bay FM reports.
Mr Toland was taken by helicopter to University Hospital Galway, where he was pronounced dead.
A second man was also injured in the incident but his injuries are said not to be life-threatening.
The Health and Safety Authority were due to investigate the scene today.
