Donegal’s beautiful natural landscape is in the media again this week following the release of a new Failte Ireland video.
The video, called ‘Embrace the Wild Atlantic Way’ features a song from Irish band Walking on Cars, played over uplifting and incredible scenes from Ireland’s west coast.
Donegal landmarks and rugged scenery are shown throughout the video, with Fanad Lighthouse, beaches and heart-stopping cliff faces captured with stunning cinematography.
2017 is the perfect time to visit Donegal, which is celebrating the title of being the coolest place on the planet. Donegal Daily are currently working on a list of reasons why Donegal is so cool – add your contribution to the list here.
You can plan your own adventure with a pre-set itinerary on WildAtlanticWay.com, or go off the beaten track to discover Donegal’s best kept secret spots.
Failte Ireland’s words will make Donegal natives feel very lucky to be living in a holiday hotspot on the Wild Atlantic Way – “Choose from surfing, kayaking, coasteering on picture-perfect beaches, quiet walks along secluded, windswept clifftops – and of course, the absolutely mouth-watering seafood just waiting to be sampled!”
Elsewhere, TheJournal.ie and The Irish Post in the UK have featured a video by Bren Whelan from Wild Atlantic Climbing & Photography, proving why the country topped National Geographic’s ‘Cool List’ for 2017.
