Deele College is to be included under Additional Accomodation for extra classrooms.
The Raphoe school is to get twi extra classrooms under the plan.
Fine Gael Minister of State Joe McHugh TD, “I welcome confirmation this evening that 2 additional metalwork/ engineering rooms have been approved for Deele College, Raphoe, though the Department of Education’s Additional Accommodation and Emergency Works Scheme.”
This news follows the recent official opening of the school’s new €3.5 million extension, which has provided the local area with a state of the art educational establishment.
Minister McHugh, “I was delighted to officiate at the recent opening, where I also had the honour of doing a tour of the school, where I visited students working hard in their new science labs, drawing rooms and computer suites.
“Congratulations to principal Joe Boyle, the teaching staff, Board of Management, Parents Association and everyone involved in all their ongoing hard work and dedication here, where today’s news of these additional rooms will undoubtedly assist in enhancing the school facilities.”
Fine Gael Cllr. Martin Harley, also welcomed the news that Deele College has been included under the Additional Accommodation.
“This is great news for the school, and I wish to commend everyone involved here in ensuring their application for these extra facilities have been approved.”
St. Oran’s National School Cockhill Buncrana was also included under Additional Accomodation for a classroom plus WC for assisted users
