GARDAÍ in Milford have issued an urgent crime alert on men acting suspiciously in the Ramelton and Ballyare areas.
It’s the third warning in five days in the same general area amid fears that travelling criminal gangs are casing houses to carry out burglaries.
The latest alert – issued at 1pm – is for a white Mercedes Benz van with the partial northern registration YJI.
It has been acting suspiciously near homes in Ramelton and Ballyare earlier today.
Anyone seeing a vehicle matching the description should call Milford Garda Station on 07491 53060.
It follows an alert in Ballyare and Leitir areas on Saturday involving an English-registered VW Golf.
And last Thursday suspected thieves were operating in the Killycrean area near Ramelton in a silver Renault van.
