Conor O’Donnell of St. Eunan’s College in Letterkenny has been named as a Danske Bank Queen’s University Future Star.
Conor is the first player from Donegal honoured at this level since it was established in 2014.
Conor has had quite a year on pitches in 2016, having played a key role for St. Eunan’s College and St. Eunan’s GAA U-16 team.
He notched up 9-21 as St. Eunan’s College won the U-15 1/2 Ulster colleges title, scoring 3-3 in the final to guide the Letterkenny school to the Danske Bank Treanor Cup back May.
Conor hit 3-14 in the three games St. Eunan’s U-16s played in Ulster to lift the Paul McGirr Memorial Ulster Tournament at the start of December.
Conor was presented with his award at a ceremony in Belfast on Monday evening.
