More than 120 objections to the proposed Wind Turbine at Gweedore Industrial Estate were handed in to the Council offices in Dungloe yesterday.
Councillor Micheal Mac Giolla Easbuig was among those who objected ot the plan.
There have been a number of public meetings in relation to the proposal and a protest outside Údarás na Gaeltachta ofices in Gaoth Dobhair last week.
Cllr Mac Giolla Easbuig said “It is very clear that the vast majority of the community are against the location of this windmill. Over 120 objections were handed in today.
“Again I call on Údarás na Gaeltachta to withdraw from the project and also call on Lir energy to do the same in the interest of our community.
“Well done to the Committee on the hard work in raising awareness and bringing the community together on this.”
