Saturday Night Live (SNL), an American comedy show, last night featured a Conor McGregor caricature who the host, Charles Barkley, labeled an ‘angry little leprechaun’.
As part of SNL, a skit called ‘Where Did Your Money Go?’ parodies the popular American gameshow ‘Jeopardy’.
This is the first time McGregor has been imitated by SNL, who are known for prodding fun at figures in popular culture.
His outfit was reminiscent of the extravagance shown by the real McGregor during a UFC pre-fight press conference last month in New York.
At one point, Barkley discusses how McGregor should get a Roth IRA (a type of tax-free retirement account in the U.S.); McGregor replies ‘I’ve been in the IRA since Protestants moved into my neighbourhood.’
Alex Moffatt, the actor playing McGregor, clearly missed out on accent training!
