A night of festive food, fashion and shopping was had by many women in Ballybofey last night at the Ladies Christmas Night Out hosted by Patton Frozen Foods and The Igloo.
Jackson’s Hotel was filled with an array of Christmas market stalls showcasing unique handmade crafts, foods and creative gifts. Guests then enjoyed a food demonstration from chef Rachel Allen and four fashion shows.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Donegal Hospice and The Caolan Melaugh Fund.

The guests enjoyed prosecco, mulled wine and canapes which kept the festive theme going strong on the night.
Paddy McMenamin presented the show, and chef Rachel Allen provided a cookery demonstration and impressed everyone by making an entire Christmas Dinner within three hours.
Speaking to Donegal Woman after the event, Rachel said, “It was fantastic. It was so much. It was just such a lovely festive atmosphere. Paddy was of course hilarious. But really, it was for two such good causes as well, which just brings it all home. I’ve been up in Donegal quite a bit recently and I loved it. I really love it up here.”
Four fashion shows from Chiq Maternity, The Gray Rooms, Pure Boutique, Verve Donegal Town provided many Christmas party dress ideas. Around 500 women turned out for the excellent cause, and organiser Louise Patton and compere Paddy McMenamin were delighted to see so many supportive women having a good time.
Caolan Melaugh will be turning two this weekend. Caolan and his family were unable to be there on the night but they were very much in everyone’s thoughts.
