Peadar Jim’s Property Maintenance are celebrating two years in business this December.
Set up by Peter Blake, the business has won several rewards, including being noted as finalists for Best Start Up for Letterkenny Chamber and Donegal Business Awards. Peter won Young Person of the Year (Junior Chamber Ireland), and Best Start Up 2016 Business Awards.
Peter also gives back to charities such as St. Vincent de Paul whenever he can, having recently hosted a live auction of a renovated bicycle which went for a staggering €550.
He finds it vital to help out, when you can, as you never know when you may need a hand. He said; “Saint Vincent de Paul helped me out in the recession so many times, I had to swallow my pride and ask for help. They gave me a bag of coal and €40 worth of food vouchers on numerous occasions. Like so many others struggling in the same situation to date St Vincent de Paul does remarkable work!”
Peter remarks that he is very fortunate to have got through the tough times, and started up his own business which is now a massive success.
They have a new unit on the Port Road, where Peter and his three colleagues do interior and exterior painting and cleaning services all over the Northwest and country-wide!
Peter says “it’s been some journey and looking forward to the next few. Thank you everyone for your custom it really is very much appreciated. Onwards and upwards keep her lit!”
