The club took great pride last Saturday in Monaghan when our u14s won the Ulster Area final of the u14 SFAI Cup when defeating Carrick Rovers 12-11 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 after extra time.
Leon Doherty netted the goal while James Lenty Gallagher had the honour of firing home the winning penalty. The boys now advance to the last 32 in the national stages with the draw to be made on December 10th and the club would like to thank Carrick for their hospitality and Brian Gallagher of the Station House Hotel for his kind generosity towards everyone on Saturday evening.
Our only other side in club action in the last week saw the Youths draw 3-3 at Gweedore Celtic with goals from Codey Brogan, Tarlach O’Boyle and Eoghan Kelly.
Its another quiet one on the playing front this weekend with our seniors the only side in action when travelling to Templemore to play Derry City Reserves with a 2pm kick off on Sunday.
The Club would like to thank all those who supported our National Draw in conjunction with the FAI.
