Grainne Russell had a busy week representing Milford Loretto Community School at two competitions.
Grainne won Gold in the 50m Freestyle at the Loretto School’s national swimming competition in the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin on Thursday 24th November.
Also representing Milford was Cora Bond who reached the final of the 50m Breaststroke.
Grainne was back in action yesterday at the Ulster Grammar Schools where she made the podium for a second time in one week lifting Bronze in the 50m Butterfly.
Grainne who swims with the Swilly Seals has had a marvellous year competing for club and college. She also was selected for a training trip with the Ulster Schools Swimming Squad in Tenerife recently.
A role model for all swimmers in the club showing hard work and dedication pays off.
