Swilly Seals perform brilliantly at Ulster qualifying event in Lisburn

It was a busy weekend for the Swilly Seals with thirteen swimmers attending the Swim Ulster Qualifying Meet in Lisburn. The purpose of this three day event is for swimmers to achieve qualification times for entry into major competitions including the Irish Age group Championships division one and two (IAG 1) (IAG 2). Plenty times were achieved and a haul of medals won also.
Thomas Coyle impressed with IAG 2 times for 100m Breaststroke and 100m Butterfly and IAG 1 times for 100m Backstroke. He also won bronze in the 100m Individual Medley and silver in the 100m Backstroke.
Cody Dunnion impressive as ever won three silver medals in the 50m Breaststroke, 50m Butterfly and 100m Breaststroke.  He also gained IAG 1 times in 200m and 100m Breaststroke and 100m Butterfly.
Joyce Hudy had an excellent day with IAG 1 times achieved in the 400m Individual Medley lifting gold and 200m Freestyle claiming silver. She also lifted gold in the 50m butterfly and bronze in the 100m backstroke.
Ellie Maloney going from strength to strength posted four IAG 2 times in the 200m and 100m Freestyle, 200m Individual Medley and 100m Backstroke. She also claimed bronze in the 50m Freestyle and silver in the 100m Individual Medley.
Jonathan Martin claimed three IAG 2 times including the 200m Backstroke, 400m and 100m Freestyle and lifted three silver medals in the 200m Backstroke, 50m Backstroke and 400m Freestyle.
Kira Mills claimed a valuable IAG 2 time in the 100m Backstroke.
Cian Mulligan put in a heavy shift claiming six IAG 2 times in the 400m, 200m and 100m Freestyle, 200m Individual Medley, 100m Butterfly, 200m Breaststroke and an IAG 1 time in the 100m Breaststroke. He also collected two bronze medals in the 50m Breaststroke, 100m Individual Medley and secured silver in the 50m Freestyle.
Molly Nulty gave excellent performances in the 200m Individual Medley taking gold, 100m Freestyle taking silver and 200m Breaststroke taking gold also. Molly also achieved IAG 1 times in all her events.
Sean Pascaul achieved no less than five IAG 2 times including the 200m Individual Medley, 200m Freestyle, 100m Breaststroke, 100m Butterfly and 200m Breaststroke and also set an IAG 1 time in the 100m Backstroke.
Grainne Russell achieved four IAG 2 times in the 200m and 100m Freestyle, 200m Individual Medley and the 100m Backstroke. She also set an IAG 1 time in the 100m Butterfly.
Oisin Sheridan had a great weekend achieving IAG 2 times in the 200m Individual Medley, 200m Backstroke and 100m Freestyle. He also won gold in the 100m Individual Medley.
Bronagh Sheridan swam well in the 400m Freestyle, 200m Individual Medley, 100m Breaststroke and 50m Breaststroke but just back from injury failed to gain qualification times.
Conor Shiels at his first time at this level of competition impressed in the 200m Individual Medley, 400m and 100m Freestyle, 200m and 50m Breaststroke setting some personal best times in the process.
A massive well done to all swimmers who did their club and coaches proud in this high level competition.
