The Gaelic Masters Shield Final took place in Kilkeerin-Clonberne, Galway today (referee Gerry Sheridan from Cavan).
Donegal came out on top after an intense clash with Offaly with a score of 0-13 to 0-10.
Before the nail-biting game, a spokesperson for the Gaelic Masters Association said; “The Shield final features two newcomers this year. Donegal and Offaly have both impressed in their first year back in Masters football and it should be an even contest.

“Both sides have a number of players fresh from International Rules success for Donegal; David McShane, Daniel Branley, Charlie Doherty and Charlie Gallagher were to the fore as well as former Offaly senior inter county stars John Kenny and Roy Malone.”
