Captain reliable Seamus Coleman has led the Republic of Ireland team to another famous victory tonight – their first against Austria in Vienna.
The 28 year old Killybegs man put in a huge shift as the Boys in Green beat Austria 1-0 thanks to a super goal from Derryman James McClean.
Martin O’Neill’s team have now secured a brilliant ten points from their first four games in this World Cup Qualifying Campaign.
Coleman, who was being scouted by Man Utd during this game, immediately paid tribute to the 3,500 travelling Irish fans.
“The lads were brilliant tonight and I have said it before that’s it a pure privilege playing beside these guys because they give it their all every time. They were amazing tonight and so were the fans,” he said.
