The Plaza in Buncrana is set to welcome the return of one of the most memorable nights of the year on November 12th. A night of entertainment, thrills and possibly spills are expected as ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ returns to town.
The popular event will feature 10 locals who will pull on their gladrags in a bid to impress judges and the audience with some slick new dance moves – all in aid of the Donegal/Galway Cancer Bus and Buncrana’s own ‘Children in Need’.
The night’s host is TV3’s Noel Cunningham, and there will be music provided by the brilliant Off The Rails.
Organiser Adrian McMyler spoke of his excitement at bringing the event back to The Plaza.
“It’s going to be a brilliant night,” he said, “the dancers have been working extremely hard – sometimes three to four nights a week, and deserve a huge amount of credit.”
He also said that the importance of both causes will hopefully lead to a big turn-out on the night.
“Everyone has experienced cancer throughout their lives, be it in their family or elsewhere, and hopefully with the money raised, we can contribute to such a worthy cause.
“Buncrana has always been known for its community spirit, and I’m hopeful that the people of the town will come out in their numbers and support what will be a great night’s craic.”
Strictly Come Dancing is an all-ticket event, and admission is €15. The event is sponsored by Tom Clare Steel Fixer and Trojan Technologies.
