Huge disruption to Corrie could cause issues for film crews…

ITV officials are left “disappointed” after the British government have given the green light for a new tram route to be built very near the set of ‘Coronation Street’.

ITV are concerned that having a tram run so close to the set will disrupt filming the soap.

Having recently spent £50 million on a new set in 2014, they are considering an appeal, despite the promise that designers will include features that will reduce the noise caused by the tram.

Corrie fans needn’t worry for a while, as the tram won’t be operational until 2020.
