A number of locations across Donegal are to undertake periodic speed limits.
One of these is the area close to Illistrin National School on the outskirts of Letterkenny on which was the scene of a incident in which schoolchildren narrowly avoided an accident.
The school is one of the locations for which approval has been sought and granted by the TII for a periodic speed limit on the National Routes.
This will be implemented in early 2017 together with the rest of the speed limit changes arising from the speed limit review.
