Letterkenny funny man Andy McGranaghan will be teaming up with Irish comedy legend Jimmy Cricket to perform a side-splitting comedy gig at Ballybofey’s Balor Arts Centre next month.
Andy has been involved for many years in the local amateur drama scene and in more recent times the local Comedy Circuit appearing regularly at comedy at the vintage room Letterkenny.
Jimmy Cricket, a hugely popular Northern Irish comedian, hasn’t been to Ballybofey in eight years, and since his last visit to the Balor Arts Centre, it has been completely re-done and is now a modern auditorium.
Jimmy is known for his ubiquitous letters from his “mammy”, prods fun at Irish logic, and wears shoes with L and R for left and right on them; but wears them on the wrong feet!
Speaking of the upcoming collaboration on Jimmy’s website, Andy says; “It will be a real thrill to appear on the same stage with such a wonderful comedian like Jimmy Cricket. He has had a hugely successful career out of making people laugh over so many decades and he still continues to be a very funnyman.”
“When I found out he was due in Ballybofey I had to get in touch to see if I could grace the same stage. Luckily Jimmy thought it was a good idea, as he believed the local connection would work really well!”
“It is now just several weeks before the show, so I’ll now have to be do some fine tuning of the comedy routines I will be telling on the night”.
To keep up with Andy’s comedic escapades you can find him on his website, Facebook, or Twitter! He also has videos of his gigs on Youtube.
