Finn Harps have been dealt a blow with the news that Josh Mailey has emigrated to the UK to further his education.
The former LYIT student has enrolled at the University of Brighton and is set to begin his new course later this week.
He is not expected to be available for Friday night’s game with St Patrick’s Athletic.
It is not yet known if Mailey will travel back for Harps remaining fixtures in the Premier Division.
Mailey had an excellent game against Cork City on Monday night, but he was adjudged to have fouled Sean Maguire in the second-half, and the striker dispatched the resulting penalty.
The former Letterkenny Rovers players has been a big player for Ollie Horgan during his tenure at the game, with his most memorable moment being his stunning winner against UCD in the play-offs last season.
