They’re also a busy cook’s best friend – just pop everything in together, switch on and your tasty, tender meal’s ready when you are!

Beef Steak Pot Roast
Ingredients
>4 x 250g thick lean beef steaks, all visible fat removed
>200g baby new potatoes
>200g baby carrots
>1 garlic bulb, cloves separated and peeled
>1 tbsp black peppercorns
>2 tbsp white wine vinegar
>200ml boiling beef stock
>2 tbsp dried dill
>Salt
>Fresh chopped dill, to garnish
Method
1. Place the steaks, vegetables, garlic cloves, peppercorns, vinegar, stock and dill into the slow cooker and stir well.
2. Add salt to taste, cover and cook on LOW for 7-8 hours or until the meat is tender.
3. Serve sprinkled with chopped dill
