What a day in ‘Paradise’ it was for Celtic fans as the Old Firm Derby roared back onto the SPFL calendar after a four-year absence.
Celtic and Rangers have met in recent years in cup competitions, but today’s meeting was the first league clash between the pair was in 2012.
However, it wasn’t much of a contest as Brendan Rodgers’s side hammered Rangers 5-1 to leave Celtic fans in a state of euphoria.
One of those supporters was Donegal County Councillor Enda Bonner – who was in attendance at Celtic Park to witness the emphatic win.
The popular Fianna Fáil politician was a talented sportsman himself and won an Ulster title with Donegal in 1974.
