Gardaí spark pun war following funny tweet

Gardaí have once more sparked a pun war following a tweet on their official Twitter account.

This is the second time in recent weeks that the Gardaí have submitted ‘punny’ jokes to their Twitter account, as they tweeted a picture of a squad car herding cattle in Ballybofey three weeks ago.

Following a new campaign to crack down on farm related crime by Crimestoppers, IFA, Gardai and DoneDeal; the Gardaí tweeted of how they were on a “steak out”, and that the cows were”friesian” despite favourable weather conditions.

Twitter users reacted by chiming in with their very own cow related puns;

Some of them were actually quite creative…

We hope the Gardaí didn’t hang around too long into the evening in case the calves got in trouble with their moo-dy mothers for being up ‘pasture’ bedtime. Now that would just be an udder disaster.
