A major lightning storm over Donegal has left a number of homes without electricity.
There are no reports of any injuries but there have been a number of outages.
The lightning strikes took place just after 10pm.
A number of pockets of houses on the Inishowen Peninsula in Buncrana and Carndonagh are without power as a result.
ESB crews are working on restoring the power and a spokesman said it could be early morning when all are back on the grid.
As well as lightning and thunder, there are strong winds being reported.
