Finn Harps’ hopes of getting three points against Sligo Rovers this evening were drowned out when the game had to be abandoned due to flooding.
Heavy rain in the first half at the Showgrounds left huge patches of water on the pitch.
Players were taken off by the match referee after 20 minutes and the decision was made to abandon the game.
It’s somewhat of a deja vu feeling for both sides as their earlier game this season was abandoned after floodlight failure.
The FAI will reschedule the game.
