A massive search is underway for a missing person just off the Isle of Doagh.
The Isle of Doagh, which is well known for the famine village, is located on the Inishowen peninsula.
The coastguard, lifeboats, are out searching for the person who is believed to have been missing for over 24 hours.
It is understood the man is from Co Derry and is aged in his late 50s.
Local reports say the man had been camping in the area at the time.
Two units form RNLI from Buncrana RNLI, two units of Greencastle
Coastguard and a shore search team from Greencastle Coastguard as well
as Gardai are taking part in the search.
The Rescue 118 helicopter from Sligo is also expected in the area
shortly to assist in the search.
It is understood the search will take place until at least 9.30pm and
then a decision will be taken on the search which may be called off
until first light in the morning.
