Enjoy the warm and sunny weather while it lasts today and tomorrow.
Because weather experts have warned Hurricane Gaston is set to batter Ireland after blowing across the Atlantic from the United States.
After enjoying lots of sunny weather and warm temperatures recently, the weather looks set to get very wet and windy.
The US National Hurricane Centre (NHC) in Miami says the 90mph hurricane has formed off the coast in Florida and is heading northeastwards to Ireland and the UK.
The storm is predicted to reach Irish shores by the end of next week generating violent 70mph gusts and gales.
Independent weather forecast provider MeteoGroup said: “Hurricane Gaston is the latest hurricane to develop in the Atlantic and has reached its peak with gusts up to 85 to 90mph.
“It will eventually head north then northeastwards towards Ireland and the UK as a low pressure system, potentially disrupting our weather next week.”
According to Met Eireann, Monday and Tuesday will see dry and sunny weather across most of the country.
Tomorrow will see high temperatures of up to 24 degrees with Donegal temperatures set to reach 19 to 20 degrees.
And Wednesday and Thursday look set to be good with temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees although Donegal will have some rain.
But that’s where the good news ends.
Friday is to be very showery as blustery Hurricane Gaston arrives on Irish shores.
