Dublin’s back to back Sam Maguire dreams is still on course following their 0-22 to 2-14 victory over Kerry yesterday.
Ciaran Kilkenny, a student at St Pat’s college, Drumcondra is set to come to the Gaoth Dobhair gaeltacht for two of the three weeks ahead of the All Ireland final on the 18th of September.
Kilkenny is doing his masters in education so he is required to visit the the gaeltacht as part of the course.
Distractions won’t be far away for the Dublin star with the McGee’s expected to have a word or two with Kilkenny.
Kilkenny has many friends in Gaoth Dobhair including Donegal U21 player Niall Friel who attends St Pat’s college as well, so he won’t feel too unwelcome.
“I won’t be wearing the Dublin gear. There’s a few McGees and Kevin Cassidy, Odhrán Mac Niallais and a few lads up there so they’ll be slagging me. [I’m] just excited now for the three weeks leading into the game and delighted to be an another All-Ireland final.” – speaking to Today FM after yesterday’s game.
