Brilliant Brennan fires Bundoran to victory over Ardara to keep Donegal SFC hopes alive

GAA: Bundoran have earned a massive win tonight over Ardara in the Donegal SFC, that keeps them in with a great chance of qualifying for the last eight of Donegal SFC.

Nless than a win would be good enough for Bundoran but they deservedly got the win they badly needed which has blown Group A wide open.

Bundoran were defeated by Dungloe in their opening group game in May, while Ardara earned a fine win over Glenswilly.

Ardara were hotly fancied to defeat the seasiders tonight to more or less seal their passage to the quarter-finals, but Bundoran had other ideas.

Jamie Brennan was simply sensational for Bundoran and his goal was the key score in this match.

Brennan was simply unplayable all evening, and the Donegal U21 player is a real star for the future.

However, despite that goal, the sides went in at the break all square, with Gareth Concarr and Conor Glasson impressing for the visitors.

A brace of points from Jamie Brennan and Ciaran McCaughey gave Bundoran breathing space, but Ardara kept refused to lie down.

But Brennan was just on fire and he scored another three points, and set up a few more to extend Bundoran’s lead out to five.

Ardara battled gamely for a way back, but that never materialized and Bundoran held on for a very important victory.

Final Score: Bundoran 1-15 Ardara 0-13
