University College Cork (UCC) and its Adult Continuing Education (ACE) Department are rolling out University accredited programmes in an outreach capacity in Donegal starting in early October.
Following the success of last years’ Certificate in Autism Studies in Letterkenny, UCC are delighted to establish an outreach centre in Donegal similar to other counties such as Dublin, Kilkenny, Galway.
Siobhán Murray, ACE at UCC Coordinator, Donegal, states that the ethos is to bring the University to our communities, giving adult learners (21+) an opportunity to gain a University qualification without having to leave home.
This coming October, a two-year P/T Diploma (Level 6 & 7) in Autism Studies and a one year P/T Certificate (Level 6) in Mental Health and the Community will commence, subject to numbers in Letterkenny and Killybegs.
Application deadline is the 23rd of September.
An ‘Information Evening’ regarding these two programmes will be held on the Monday, 29th of August in the Orchard Inn, Letterkenny at 8pm and Tuesday, 30th of August in the Niall Mor Community and Enterprise Centre, Killybegs at 7.30pm.
Everyone welcome to attend.
You can find more information at UCC.ie for the Autism Studies course, or the Mental Health in the Community certificate.
