RAPHOE NOTES:
Raphoe Family Resource Centre:
Farewell
The Family Resource Centre would like to bid a fond farewell to Jacqui Kilpatrick, Aidan Laird and Damien Curran who have just completed one year with us through the Tús Programme administered by Donegal Local Development Company Ltd. Jacqui was a valued member of our Youth Team who made a significant contribution not only to the team but also to enhancing the personal and social development of children and young people attending activities and programmes in the FRC. Aidan and Damien were General Workers on our ‘Helping Hands’ Project and both of them carried out their work to the highest of standards taking great pride in supporting the needs of older people. Jacqui, Aidan and Damien will be sorely missed and we would like to take this opportunity to wish them every success for the future.
Afterschool Programme Registration
Registration for the Family Resource Centre’s Afterschool Programme will take place from 3-6pm on Tuesday 6th September with the Programme commencing on the following Tuesday 13th September. There is a registration fee of €7.00 per child for insurance purposes. We look forward to welcoming back all our regulars and of course new members are most welcome.
Stress Control Workshops
There are still a number of places remaining for the Stress Control Workshops that we hope to run in September. If you missed the workshops last time then here’s your opportunity. Donegal Mind Wellness Project will again facilitate the workshops over 6 weeks. We all live in stressful times and situations. Recognising and understanding stress and its triggers and how it can impact on our lives is key to building resilience and strengthening our ability to cope. The workshops aim to help you manage your stress at home and in the workplace and will be of benefit to you personally as well as assisting you in supporting others. The workshops are free of charge. You won’t be obliged to speak, just to listen, learn and practice. If interested please let us know by phone/text/email/private message. Tel 074-9145796; Tel/text 087-3641503 or visit our Facebook page.
